About the Artist: Llewelyn Ash
Llewelyn Ash is a highly regarded Australian glass artist known for his technical mastery, fluid forms, and deep connection to the natural world. With over 16 years of experience, his diverse body of work spans bespoke lighting, large-scale installations, sculptural awards, and product design for some of the country’s most iconic organisations and destinations.
Llewelyn began his artistic journey in 2008 at the University of South Australia and went on to refine his craft through an intensive two-year program at the renowned JamFactory Glass Studio in Adelaide. His works have since been exhibited nationally and honoured with numerous accolades, including the Design Institute of Australia Award, the JamFactory Pilchuck Scholarship in Seattle, and top prizes at the Whyalla Art Prize, Brighton Sculpture Prize, and the Waterhouse Youth Art Prize.
His portfolio includes commissions for Mount Lofty House, Southern Ocean Lodge, The Louise (Barossa), Penfolds, Pleasing by Harry Styles, and Hand Made and Found. Llewelyn is also widely respected for his Trophy Portfolio, a collection of custom-designed awards created for prestigious clients including the Adelaide Wine Show, SA Fashion Awards, AMP Tomorrow Maker Awards, Premier’s Awards, Chartered Accountants, SA Water, and many more.
In every piece, Llewelyn brings together precision, artistry, and storytelling - capturing the essence of nature and the quiet power of craftsmanship.
