Oceana New York Gala

Our Sapphire Honorary Chair Susan Rockefeller and her husband David both sit on the board of Oceana, the world’s largest international advocacy organisation focused solely on ocean conservation. This year marks a special occasion, it is Oceana’s 24th anniversary of winning victories for the oceans.

Every year, Susan and David host the iconic Oceana New York Gala. It is a gathering of leaders in the worlds of philanthropy, business, and entertainment to celebrate and support Oceana’s mission of restoring the health and abundance of the ocean.

Since 2013, the New York Gala has raised more than 18 million US dollars thanks to generous supporters like you. Oceana campaigns for policies that rebuild marine biodiversity. Since its founding in 2001, Oceana has won more than 325 victories that stop overfishing, habitat destruction, oil and plastic pollution, and the killing of threatened species like turtles, whales, and sharks, Oceana’s campaigns are delivering results. A restored ocean means that 1 billion people can enjoy a healthy seafood meal every day, forever. Together, we can save the oceans and help feed the world.
