Terms and Conditions:
Sapphire Dinner 2025 Luxury Raffle

The Raffle 

  1. The raffle is titled Sapphire Dinner 2025 Luxury Raffle (“Raffle”). 

  2. The raffle will be held at the Sapphire Dinner (“Event”) on Friday 15 August 2025 (“Event Date”) at Carriageworks, Sydney.

  3. The raffle is jointly conducted by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation (the “Foundation”) and Protect What is Precious Asia Pacific Pty Ltd as part of the Sapphire Dinner,  an annual event held each year to raise money for to protect oceans. The Foundation is the nominated charity partner and is responsible for the charitable administration of the Raffle.

  4. Tickets for the raffle will be available for purchase during the Sapphire Dinner event only.

The Promoters

  • The promoters are:

    1. Great Barrier Reef Foundation; and

    2. The Sapphire Project.

Eligibility

  1. Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years or over who are physically present at the Event.

  2. Only tickets purchased at the event are valid entries into the Raffle. 

  3. By purchasing a raffle ticket, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 

  4. Entry is open to residents of Australia and the UK. 

Raffle Tickets

  1. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for the price(s) advertised. 

  2. There is no limit to the number of tickets a person may purchase. 

  3. Tickets sales will close at the start of the Raffle draw, or earlier if sold out. 

The Prizes

  1. The prizes will be listed in the official event program, provided to guests on the event night. 

  2. The prizes and their approximate values are as follows:

    • Lizard Island Resort, 3 nights Beachfront Suite for 2 – AUD $15,000

    • Range Rover Urban Escape – AUD $3,500

    • Hennessy Paradis – AUD $2,000 total

    • Culinary Home Experience by Laissez-Faire Catering – AUD $3,500

    • 6L Belvedere Organic Vodka Jeroboam – AUD $800

  3. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. 

  4. If a prize if sold, transferred, or advertised for sale, it may be forfeited. 

  5. All prizes are accepted at the winner’s own risk. 

  6. Any travel, transfers, meals, associated costs to enable use of the Prize will be at the winner's own cost. 

  7. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any variation in prize value or any lost of unclaimed prizes. 

Drawing and Winner Notification 

  1. The Raffle draw will take place at approximately 9:30pm AEST on the Event Date. 

  2. Winners will be selected by random draw from all valid raffle tickets. 

  3. The Promoters reserve the right to select an alternate winner at random if the Foundation determines, in their sole discretion that a winner does not comply with these Terms & Conditions, or where they have reasonable grounds to believe a winner will not comply with these Terms and Conditions. 

  4. The winning ticket number will be announced by the event MC on stage. 

  5. The holder of the winning ticket must come to the stage to collect a Prize Identifier. 

  6. The Prize Identifier must then be taken to the designated Bank Table to claim the prize. 

  7. If no one presents the winning ticket at the stage within a reasonable time after the number if announced, an alternate ticket will be drawn. 

  8. This process will be repeated until a winner collects the Prize Identifier from the stage. 

  9. Only ticket holders present at the Event at the time of the draw are eligible to claim prizes. 

  10. The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

Prize Collection 

  1. Winners must complete a prize reconciliation form at the Bank Table when they have presented their Prize Identifier. 

  2. Physical prizes will be distributed to winners at the event upon presentation of the Prize Identifier at the Bank Table. 

  3. For non-physical or digital prizes (e.g. vouchers, experiences), the Foundation will contact winners using the details provided in the reconciliation form to deliver the prize following the event. 

  4. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure the details provided in the form are accurate and complete. 

  5. Prizes not claimed on the night or unable to be fulfilled due to incomplete or incorrect details may be forfeited at the discretion of the Foundation.

Limitation of Liability

  1. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Foundation and which prevents the Foundation from complying with these terms and conditions, the Foundation will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations. The Foundation reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.

  2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its associated agencies and companies shall not be liable for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Data Protection

  1. The Foundation will only process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

  2. By entering the competition, you consent to the Foundation collecting and processing your personal information for the purposes of administering and promoting the raffle, contacting winners, verifying eligibility, and facilitating prize distribution.

    General 

  1. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

  2. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
